Nutrition We Are Made For by Dalibor Petrinić is a useful and wholly practical book which focuses on the mental and emotional components of how we eat and puts the emphasis on awareness rather than subscribing to a specific “diet”. I completely agree with the author who does a great job of presenting a balanced overview of the various popular diet trends and pointing out the positive and negative aspects of each. Most importantly, Dalibor emphasizes to the reader the role of lifestyle in creating and maintaining health. I highly recommend this book.
nspiring, bold and unbiased! Every word reflects Dalibor’s spirit, his positivity and his desire to help. Our lives are not blessed with the presence of many people that successfully merge spirituality, emotions, and science without imposing their opinions. Dalibor has accomplished this and this is why this book is so precious.
Easy and comprehensive reading about nutrition with an emphasis on a mind-ful approach to health. Plenty of excellent information mean that every reader will find something for him/herself – beginners and professionals alike. This book preaches a holistic approach to health as a presupposition for enlight-enment and discovery of new dimensions for all those eager to find the an-swers.
Forget everything you know about nutrition and let Dalibor take you on this exciting and meaningful journey.
Dalibor “breaks” myths related to nutrition and popular diets, explains the importance of fasting and teaches us that an individual approach, re-search and personal experience where our bodies are concerned are the pre-conditions of health and longevity. And he does it in such an easy and com-prehensive manner. The key is to eat mindfully and to be in the moment. Reset yourself with this excellent book I enjoyed enormously. This is the ultimate textbook that taught me a lot. You should read it because it will show you the way to a healthy and happy living.
The title of this book tells it all, but what makes it very special is the fact that it evades the term diet, as well as the whole concept of dieting. From the beginning, a diet is defined as a nutritional approach limited by the time, deprivation, calories or food choic-es. Dalibor doesn’t deliver the ultimate recipe, nor does he claim he has the ulti-mate answer. This book is about a common sense and principles of the body. He comprehensively explains popular diets, describes ways they overlap and analyzes them objectively. Individuation and a freedom of an individual to make a choice according to what he/she finds the most suitable, without being talked into something – those are principles I also follow in my work. I can say that I share a similar approach to life and fitness with Dalibor, and that I feel sincerely privileged to be invited to write a review about this book. It is time for a change – social, fitness, and nutritional. And thanks to those highly developed souls like Dalibor Petrinić, this change is possible now.
Dalibor’s book is a perfect demonstration that something in the body-mind communication has gone awry. Thanks to this book, we can dedicate our time, attention and efforts to raise awareness and improve our skills that can help us enjoy freedom, gratefulness and beauty.
Freedom, gratefulness, and beauty are natural characteristics of every living being. Freedom is a synonym of a lack of inner chronic blockages that compromise the flow of energy and emotions. Gratefulness means absence of these inner limits visible from the outside, and beauty is a visible mind-body harmony this freedom brings and further embellishes.
